It is both an art and a challenge to not make matters bigger than they really are or need to be in order to be settled. Together with clients, Ine Sliepenbeek seeks realistic options and appropriate solutions in an easy-going, calm and analytical manner. This also means outlining clear frameworks and providing clarity: what is feasible and reasonable and what is not.
This message from a client clearly describes the way I practise my profession: "Thank you for the adequate and human commitment during my divorce process. The way you supported me was a very positive experience. Target-oriented but also human."
This is the way I like to represent the interests of my clients and I am pleased that clients also perceive it this way.
For me the following is key: separate with respect and dignity. This is also the reason why I like assisting clients in mediation and why, as a lawyer I try to make agreements in mutual consultation. This is of great importance, especially where children are involved. It is wonderful for children when both parents can be present, without any fuss, on "important days" (musical at the end of grade 8, high school graduation, university degree, wedding, birth of grandchildren) but also on sad occasions. As a mother of 4 children, who have already left the nest, I like to contribute to this.
In short, handling matters in such a way that clients – after a rough period – are able to look forward to the future with confidence!
