During as well as after her graduation Annemarie Broers has gained experience with the legal profession, the administrative courts and the Child Care and Protection Board (CCPB), in which route her preference for the legal profession has been acknowledged. The judicial puzzling, the problem solving - or the prevention of the creating of a problem - and working with people is a combination that very much appeals to her. From September 2015 she is working in the field of the legal profession as a (company) lawyer and in February 2017 she was sworn in as an attorney.
As an attorney my goal is to reduce complex judicial problems to the essence and make it understandable for clients. Clear communication and honouring agreements and appointments - say what you do and do as you say - is my starting point. My approach is solution-oriented and I work meticulously and have an eye for detail.
It is challenging to get a chaotic situation organized and to find out which legal rules apply to which situation. Next I look for a practical and workable solution and of course the interests of the client always come first.
During my traineeships at the CCPB and the family section of the Court Noord-Holland, I became aware of the vulnerability of children both during and after a divorce. That is why in my family law cases I emphasize the interests of the child(ren) next to the interests of my clients.
